All Day | Where's Marty at MWCC? - Part of Marty's Mountain Path - Fun & Games (Multi-Day Event) How much do you know about the many services and opportunities at MWCC? Test your knowledge and learn some new information by discovering where Marty is at MWCC! Marty will be hiding on the website on various pages that are of interest to students. Find Marty and click the link to take a Kahoot! quiz about that department. Not only will there be questions, but there will also be informational slides to help you learn about all that MWCC has to offer. RSVP to the event so you will remember to play and then start looking for Marty! You have until September 30th to find him and the student with the highest overall score will win a stuffed Marty! That means the more Martys you find and the better you do on the quizzes, the higher your score will be. You may only play each Kahoot! quiz once and you must register with your MWCC email address and your full name. Anyone playing more than once or not using their MWCC email will be disqualified for that quiz. Here are a few places you will find Marty hiding to help you get started: Student Life Brewer Center Bookstore Leominster Campus

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM | Qi Gong - Part of Marty's Mountain Path - Wellness/Mindfulness Join for a short weekly session to help you relax and refocus. Sessions will be led by Melissa Manzi, LICSW, the college counselor and are open to all students. No special equipment is needed, simply a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted for 15 or 20 minutes. What is Qigong? Qigong can be described as a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, sound, and focused intent. What are the Benefits of Qigong? Qigong opens the flow of energy in meridians used in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. It enhances our ability to feel the Life Force underlying the physical world and to deepen our communication with it. Physically, slow gentle qigong movements warm tendons, ligaments, and muscles; tonify vital organs and connective tissue; and promote circulation of body fluids (blood, synovial, lymph). Thousands of studies have shown qigong effective in helping to heal life challenges ranging from high blood pressure and chronic illness to emotional frustration, mental stress, and spiritual crisis.
