All Day Where's Marty at MWCC? - Part of Marty's Mountain Path - Fun & Games (Multi-Day Event)
How much do you know about the many services and opportunities at MWCC? Test your knowledge and learn some new information by discovering where Marty is at MWCC! Marty will be hiding on the website on various pages that are of interest to students. Find Marty and click the link to take a Kahoot! quiz about that department. Not only will there be questions, but there will also be informational slides to help you learn about all that MWCC has to offer.

RSVP to the event so you will remember to play and then start looking for Marty! You have until September 30th to find him and the student with the highest overall score will win a stuffed Marty! That means the more Martys you find and the better you do on the quizzes, the higher your score will be.

You may only play each Kahoot! quiz once and you must register with your MWCC email address and your full name. Anyone playing more than once or not using their MWCC email will be disqualified for that quiz.

Here are a few places you will find Marty hiding to help you get started:

Brewer Center
Bookstore
Leominster Campus

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Beyond the Music: A Musical Geography Through Mexico - Part of Marty's Mountain Path - Culture/DEI
Beyond the Music: A Musical Geography of Mexico
Mexico's folk music and dance styles are very diverse and largely unknown outside of Mexico. There is son jarocho, son huasteco, gusto, son istmeño, chilenas, and over thirty other styles. Different regions of the country have unique instruments, repertoire and techniques rarely heard outside these regions.
Let the GRAMMY™ nominated Sones de Mexico Ensemble, a specialist in these regional styles, be your guide in this special lecture/demo on Mexico's musical geography. They will speak about what to listen for in the major regional styles, perform musical demonstrations and take questions form the audience at the end. Admission is free and open to the public.
This program is sponsored in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
