The students were thrilled to have them!!
We are extending the Spice Drive until Spring Break!

All Day Spring 2023 SGA Election Nominations (Multi-Day Event)
Would you like to make a difference on campus? Do you want to be a voice for other students? Will you be returning to MWCC in the fall? Consider running for a seat in the Spring 2023 Student Government Association Elections. The SGA is an 18 member board that serves as the liaison between the students and the college administration. Any student that is registered for at least 6 credits and has a GPA of 2.0 (first semester students do not have a GPA requirement) is eligible to run for an At-Large position. The Student Trustee position additionally must be held by a student who has completed at least one semester at MWCC and has a high school diploma or GED.
 
Elections will take place on April 10-23, 2023 for (8) At-Large Representative positions and (1) Student Trustee position. Students wishing to run for election must complete the Spring 2023 SGA Election Candidate Request form. Represent your peers, serve your school, and build your leadership skills.
 
Nomination papers are due in no later than 4pm on Friday, March 31,2023.

Join us for Workforce Wednesdays hosted by Career Services!
Recruiters from Eurovia/Northeast Paving will be on campus on Wednesday, March 1 to share information about current openings within their organization. This is the perfect time for students to learn about the expectations and preferred qualifications related to the various employment opportunities.

12:30 PM Rethinking Racism (Multi-Day Event)
Through interactive activities and dialogue, participants will deepen their knowledge of the history and key concepts of race and racism, enhance their understanding of the how race and racism manifests in institutions and lived experiences.
We are committing time and resources to students’ and employees’ individual learning and strongly encourage you to be part of Rethinking Racism and Building Community, a 2 ½ day in-person workshop and training.


We have partnered with Equity Consulting Network, a racially and culturally diverse team of practitioners and trainers to provide racial equity and social justice training!
The workshop model is designed to engage in learning and action around issues of race and racism while creating a cadre of leaders to institutionalize a foundation of racial equity throughout Mount Wachusett Community College. Participants will deepen their knowledge of the history and key concepts of race and racism, enhance their understanding of the how race and racism manifests in institutions and lived experiences.
This exciting opportunity is open to all MWCC students and employees with a maximum participation of 35. The workshop/training will take place in the Multipurpose Room | Room H171. Participants are expected to attend the full consecutive 2 ½ days (March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd). Registration is limited and required.

The consecutive workshops are designed to support our goal to build community through learning, processing, and self-reflection while developing the capacity of to better understand racism in its institutional and structural forms. This is a great opportunity to move MWCC’s equity imperative with a racial equity lens forward, prepare yourself and your staff for this work, and being an active ally.
