All Day Hands only CPR (Multi-Day Event)
MWCC SNA has a yearly project that is done in an effort to support the community. This year we have continued the task of teaching hands only CPR with one major change.
Previously teachings were calculated via signatures obtained from individuals that we taught how to perform hands only CPR. Now the calculation is done via social media.
We have a specific hashtag, #CPRSavesLivesMWCC  Each time this tag is used, it will count as a signature. For every like, comment and share we get a "signature".
this can be done via any social media platform including twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.  we currently have an Instagram account @hands_only_cpr which has a few posts to get us started. If you would like you can follow the account and tag it in any posts that you make with the #
Remember this is done in correlation with the American Heart Association and all posts should be appropriate and educational. with that being said, we do need to try and get "likes" so humor, as long as it is appropriate is ok.

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM Art Club in conversation with UK artist Tommy Barr
The Art Club is pleased to present UK artist Tommy Barr.A conversation with the artist including artwork and a short video.

Tommy Barr has regularly been described as a true renaissance man. He is a Northern Ireland based artist and designer, born in Dromore and with his studio in Banbridge. Tommy has spent most of his working life in these small towns on the outskirts of the capital city, Belfast.

Tommy describes his recent £15 million redesign of Belfast’s digital infrastructure as focused on building the environment for the next generation of artists. This was clearly a deliberate act of renaissance. He previously designed the data warehouse for the Lord Chancellor’s Department in London, England. This provided the information to support decision making for the redesign of the UK’s Justice System which was undertaken shortly after the millennium.

As a schoolboy cyclist Tommy qualified and competed in the Northern Irish and All Ireland Schoolboy Championships. Both times finishing in the midst of the Peloton.

However, it is as an artist that Tommy is best known. He has exhibited extensively across Europe, the Middle East and beyond and considers this travel an essential part of his practice. Tommy finds inspiration in the lives of those he meets and the places they inhabit. Today works by Tommy are held in major public collections, including the national galleries of Jordan and Bulgaria, the French National Archive and the national museums of Ireland, Romania and Malta.

Tommy’s works rely on symbolism, reflecting the world around him via a distinctive and very personal form of abstraction. In discussing his work, Clodagh Doyle, Curator at the National Museum of Ireland, observes that “the land determines the people’s existence and shapes an identity linking them to the landscape. Tommy’s works further define our connection to our land, to our beliefs and to our identity”.

Tommy is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (UK) and an executive member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (NYC).
